Women’s garment made with 100% Alpago Cashmere Yarn “TERRA”.
It is a yarn composed of 100% cashmere from our farm, presented in all its purity without any chemical treatment. Although thin, it is a yarn that works well for bulkier knitting, while still maintaining and enhancing the peculiar softness and smoothness of cashmere. It’s a versatile yarn, suitable for both tight-knitted beanies and lightweight lace or plain stitch scarves.
With a knitting machine.
The production of this product was carried out using a mechanical knitting machine. Invented at the end of the 1500s, it is a tool capable of reproducing the knitwork pattern, reducing the processing time. Despite the term ‘machine’ suggesting industrial and automated work, in reality, the knitting machine used requires artisan craftsmanship.
The natural color that our goats wear is a warm shade of beige.
Our flock of cashmere goats produces an undercoat (cashmere) from the variable color of white to light brown, beige.
The color of the yarn is the result of the combined cashmere of all our goats. For this reason it can vary, based on the year of spinning, making the garments authentic and unique.
